Immune Boosting, Stress Crushing GREEN DRANK
Everyone, we mean everyone, around us is sick RN. And between the late nights and high stress of the last few weeks (one week till Good Fest!!), our immune systems are seriously vulnerable. There's no way we are chancing being sick next weekend, so - immune boosting smoothies to the rescue.
Not going to lie, this one isn't the most delicious smoothie we've ever made, but its jam packed with nutrients and its WORTH it. The ginger, turmeric, & cinnamon are all anti-inflammatory, and the lemon and leafy greens are incredible detoxifiers. The ashwaganda sounds scary, but swear - you can't taste it - and it helps your body handle stress, which we're pretty sure the whole world can use right about now. This is the perfect GREEN DRANK to add into the mix a few times a week just to make sure you're getting everything you need in!
*psst - this recipe makes a lot - I prefer to make in big batches since there's a lot of ingredients! so store it in an airtight jar and save for tomorrow or share with a friend :)
16oz filtered water
2 cups spinach
1/2 head romaine
½ cucumber, sliced
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
Juice from 1 whole lemon
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon turmeric (fresh or ground)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Optional: dropper of ashwaganda (We use THIS one, but a powder works too!)
Directions: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Drink up!
