The Easiest Thanksgiving App that your Host Will Love You For

AH. It's a few hours till you need to be at Aunt Susan's for Thanksgiving Dinner and you totally ran out of time to make something to bring. Do you go grab a store bought pie? Show up empty handed?

NOPE.

You bring the creamiest, dreamiest pumpkin hummus for the perfect light but nutrient packed pre turkey nosh.

Hummus is one of those things that you always buy packaged, but only cause you don't realize how incredible easy it is to make at home (and how much fresher and more delicious it is). But the best part about making it at home is that you can control EXACTLY what goes in it, and add some extras to up the bang for your nutritional buck. Plus, it takes all of 15 minutes (including clean up).

While this recipe is crazy good on its own, we threw in a scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. Not only does it create an even creamier texture, but it adds some serious protein, so that when you snack on this app, you feel full and satiated, and way less likely to overdo it at the dinner table.

PUMPKIN HUMMUS WITH COLLAGEN

2-3 CLOVES ROASTED GARLIC 

3 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL

2 TABLESPOONS WATER

1 CAN CHICKPEAS, DRAINED, RINSED, AND DE-SKINNED

2 TABLESPOONS SOOM TAHINI

1/2 CUP PUMPKIN PUREE

1 SCOOP VITAL PROTEINS COLLAGEN PEPTIDES 

1 TBSP MAPLE SYRUP

1 TSP ROSEMARY

SALT TO TASTE

DIRECTIONS:

ADD ALL INGREDIENTS TO A FOOD PROCESSOR OR HIGH SPEED BLENDER. PULSE TO COMBINE AND BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH. SERVE WITH RAW VEGGIES, GF CRACKERS, OR PITA SQUARES. GARNISH WITH EXTRA ROSEMARY SPRIGS FOR A FANCY TOUCH!
