5 Tips To Make This Your Best Thanksgiving Yet

Ah, holiday season. It feels like we JUST polished off the last of our Halloween candy, and HELLO, it’s already time to start planning for Thanksgiving. If you get a little apprehensive about Thanksgiving (comfort foods, more comfort foods, that uncle who loves to comment on your life decisions)--you’re not alone. While we might not be able to help with the uncle, we can absolutely help you get to feeling healthy and amazing this holiday.

Start your morning off right.

Instead of the pancakes and other heavy foods, start your morning with a delicious green smoothie. By opting for a breakfast jam packed with nutrients, you won’t hit that mid-morning slump.

Give them something to talk about.

Keep the prying questions at bay by keeping mouths full and happy. Win the hosting game or the best guest award with this amazing pumpkin hummus. Secret ingredient? Soom Tahini. Even the famous Michael Solomov of Zahav reaches for Soom in his restaurants.  Trust us— you’ll only hear compliments about your kitchen skills all night long.

Make a swap.

Instead of the traditional mashed potatoes we all know and love, try a healthier approach by using cauliflower instead. If you haven’t tried this before it’s ODDLY satisfying. Maybe it’s the copious amounts of garlic and (vegan) butter...our favorite recipe is by Minimalist Baker and can be found HERE.

Satisfy your sweet tooth.

End your night with a healthy combo of two of our favorite classics: pumpkin pie and cheesecake. Check out THIS amazing pumpkin cheesecake recipe from @dishingouthealth for a dessert that won’t put you in a sugar coma.

Be Remembered.

Your friends and family love you no matter what you do - but we love to leave an extra special impression with a small, thoughtful gift for our hosts. And what’s better than a gift they can actually use? We love bringing jars of Soom wrapped in a cute plaid bow for the gift that keeps on giving.

Still can’t shake the holiday stress? Take a breath, and spend a second remembering what Thanksgiving is all about. Be present, and find ONE thing that you are grateful for. Let that feeling carry you through your day.

We are grateful for YOU, sweet readers, and we hope your holidays are full of all things GOOD.
